Montana voter registration drops

"The number of Montanans registered to vote for the primary
election this year dropped by 11 percent -- more than
75,000 in all -- from the last presidential election in
2000 ..." At first, this was attributed to a change in
procedures for dropping inactive voters, but it occurred
prior to that. The secretary of state speculated that it

"Singapore is lifting its notorious ban on chewing gum after 12
long years .... Before Singaporeans even think about unwrapping a
pack, however, they must submit their names and ID card numbers.
If they don't, pharmacists who sell them gum could be jailed up
